Welcome to Sarah’s Month of Vegan!

27 Feb

If you’re reading this now, you’re most likely a friend, family member, facebook acquaintance, or are really interested in reading the blogs of people you don’t know.  Whoever you are, thanks for stopping by to see what I’m up to.

I’ve challenged myself to eating a vegan diet (no animal products of meat, fish, dairy, eggs, or even honey) for a full 30 days!  That’s almost the entire month of March.

You can expect blogs about all things vegan from why I would do this in the first place to recipes to some basic culinary techniques to comparing recipes for the most comforting of comfort foods – vegan style.

For some, animal-free is the only diet worth consuming.  For others, giving up meat or cheese (mmmcheese) sounds like a fate worse than death.  Let’s find out which camp I’m in, or if I end up somewhere in between.  I’ll be posting every weekday for the month.

Have you ever considered going vegan or vegetarian?  Let me know about your experiences with plant-based foods.  I’d also love any recommendations for your favourite recipes/cookbooks that are vegan!
